Ziggy: Oh, boy--talk about shooting fish in a barrel!

Mired in a time of year during which most comics have abandoned the taxation humor--on the mere account of it no longer being at all relevant, since nobody does their taxes in July--only Ziggy bravely marches on.

  1. Well, though Ziggy claims that he never expresses his political opinions, if you read him every day, you'll notice a preoccupation with the oppressive tyranny of taxation and hints that he is not so poor as his spartan lifestyle would suggest. Indeed, it's entirely probable that it's taxation that has driven poor Ziggy to his present eternally apathetic state. And so, when you put all of that together, it's really all too clear that Ziggy is a follower of Ayn Rand, and his daily cartoon the even less funny remake of ATLAS SHRUGGED.
