My Cage: I wrote the paper to have that "Snarky McPlatypus" comic you like dropped.

There are times when I think that My Cage is maybe just a little too meta. But then it goes meta again, and I laugh again. And then the whole process repeats.

It's pretty stupid on my part, actually.

I am not the sort of person that merely enjoys meta humor for the sake of meta humor. It's not nearly as hip and edgy as people seem to think. That said, this is some good meta humor.

Cow and Boy, Cul de Sac and My Cage: Tolstoy was a twinkie man.

I'm sort of cheating on the whole Best Comic of the Day thing by listing three comics here, but they're all terrific. I appreciate the reversed gender roles in today's My Cage--generally the trope involves women trying to lose weight before their weddings. And "mongkeys" are always funny. But my heart is with the Cow and Boy below, which reads, as it often does, as though it were written just for me.

My Cage: My friend Brian just wrote me on Facebook. He lost his job and now can't pay his mortgage.

Brian should buck up. I hear there are exciting opportunities in the gator poaching field, specifically for people who are having trouble paying their mortgages.
