Question: is there a list somewhere of comic strip concepts which the syndicate or editors consider to be "Always Good For a Laugh" - in the sense that the strip doesn't necessarily have to even include a joke, or have anything to do with recurring characters; the mere mention of the thing is enough to make a good daily strip?
For example: Around Christmastime: fruitcake Summer: golf 2009: Twitter anytime at all: mothers-in-law, women shopping
Make all the fruitcake jokes you want, Crankshaft, you'll never be as hacky as The Born Loser.
