I have no idea as to the era from which the cartoons hail, but I agree that art looks strange.
ReplyDeleteI think the joke is pretty much what I laid out up above: The children are happy and excited and bouncing off the walls, and this makes Bill's life miserable. You can tell by the sad face he's making.
