Pearls Before Swine and xkcd: Personally, I find atheists just as annoying as fundamentalist Christians.

These comics have nothing to do with each other, except that they're sharing Best Comic of the Day honors today. Pearls is really good at playing with the way comics are constructed and using space other cartoons never use. xkcd, meanwhile, is really good at observing the things people say and then making them feel stupid for saying them.*

*And when I say "people," I mean "me."

This cartoon is hilarious because Thel's life is miserable even when she's on vacation.

Drabble: Ralph, we need to get you a Facebook page!

I finally bowed to the Internet gods and signed up for a Facebook account just other day. It's good to know that this puts me on approximately the same pop cultural level as one Ralph fucking Drabble.

Baldo: Baldo, you spend too much time reading!

Baldo's Internet porn addiction appears to be getting out of hand.

9 Chickweed Lane: I am ready to be discharged, Doctor.

And so I've been away from the comics section for approximately three weeks, and yet this interminable 9 Chickweed Lane story continues unabated. Bill is apparently getting out of the hospital now, so we should be on the back end of this thing, though I imagine McEldowney will find some way to drag it out for at least another few months.
